Placing a machine in Florida: the basics

Before a machine goes in anywhere in Florida, an operator typically needs a state sales-tax registration, a business licence where the machine sits, and — for anything dispensing food or drink — a food-service permit from the local health authority. Some cities licence each machine or location separately.

  • Sales tax: Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Food permits: Florida DBPR / Dept. of Agriculture (food).
  • Sales tax registration; food machines fall under DBPR Hotels & Restaurants or FDACS.

Requirements change and vary by county and city. Confirm with the agency before you place. Our full guide: Vending permits in Florida

Venue types we’ve signed most often here: Delis, Electronics stores, Indoor playgrounds, Family entertainment centers.

Operators routinely drive an hour or two for a strong location. Neighbouring states with signed venues: Georgia, Alabama.

Before you claim

What if I don't like any of the locations?

We present up to 2 qualified locations. If you turn them down, we keep searching at no extra cost. If we still haven't placed you 6 months after you order, you get the full $1,000 back with no conditions.

Why is there a revenue share on top of the monthly fee?

Every venue in vending takes a cut — it's what makes them agree to host a machine at all. Our host agreements run 30–40% of revenue after expenses, and you see the exact figure on each location before choosing. The $100/month is separate: it's the licence fee for the space we hold under contract.

Who signs the agreement with the venue?

We do. Pinpoint holds the host agreement and licenses the space to you. That's why we can move you to a new location free if something goes wrong — we own the relationship, not you.

How long does it actually take?

If we already have a signed location within your driving distance, days. If we're searching from scratch, about 3 months on average — and you watch it happen live in your account: venues contacted, decision makers reached, meetings booked.
