How it works
How Our Vending Machine Locator Service Works
A vending machine locator service finds a venue for your machine. Many sell you a list of businesses to call yourself. Ours does the calling and the walking in, signs the venue under a host agreement and licenses the space to you. You choose from up to 2 signed locations, and the monthly placement fee is first due a month after you sign for one.

Pinpoint signs the host agreement with the venue and you get the license to operate there. The venue's counterparty is us, which is what makes the guarantees possible.

Machine in, running, selling. The venue takes its share of sales after cost of goods — typically 30–40% — and Pinpoint's $100 monthly placement fee runs from one month after you signed for the location.

What if I don't like any of the locations?
We present each location in writing, and you have 3 business days to say yes or no. Decline the first and we present one more. Decline that one too and the search ends: your deposit comes back and the processing fee does not. And if we have not presented a location within 6 months at all, everything you paid comes back, plus $1,000.
Why is there a revenue share on top of the monthly fee?
Every venue in vending takes a cut — it's what makes them agree to host a machine at all. Our host agreements typically run 30–40% of revenue after cost of goods, and you see the exact figure on each location before choosing. The $100/month is separate: it's the placement fee to Pinpoint for the space we hold under contract.
Who signs the agreement with the venue?
We do. Pinpoint holds the host agreement and licenses the space to you. That's why, if the venue goes out of business in your first 6 months, we can find you a replacement free — we own the relationship, not you.
How long does it actually take?
If we already have a signed location within your driving distance, days. If we're searching from scratch, about 3 months on average — and you watch it happen live in your account: venues contacted, decision makers reached, meetings booked.
What if the venue removes my machine?
It depends why. If the venue goes out of business within 6 months of your install, we find you one replacement location free, and between 6 and 12 months for a $500 fee. If the venue stays open and asks the machine to leave, there is no replacement: the placement ends, your monthly fee stops, and your deposit comes back within 30 days unless the removal was your fault.
Do I need to already own a machine?
Yes — we place machines, we don't sell them. If you're still choosing one, tell us the type and footprint you're considering and we'll show you what venues are asking for.
Is the deposit really refundable?
Yes. It comes back within 30 days after 16 months of placement fees; sooner if the placement ends through no fault of yours, such as cancelling before you sign for a location; and together with the whole enrollment fee, plus $1,000, if we have not presented a location within 6 months. You lose it if you leave a location before 16 months, if the venue removes the machine because of something you did, or if you stop answering us — all of it stated before you pay.
What am I responsible for once placed?
Keeping the machine stocked, working and serviced within the agreed response time, keeping it clean unless the venue's agreement makes that the venue's job (each location says which), and carrying liability insurance that names Pinpoint. The venue calls us if something's wrong, so we hold operators to a standard — and we'll tell you exactly what it is before you commit.
How is this different from a vending locator that sells leads?
A lead list gives you the names and numbers of businesses to pitch yourself — the calls, the walk-ins and the agreement are still yours. Our vending machine locator service does that work: we call and visit venues, sign the host agreement and license the space to you, and you choose from up to 2 signed locations. No location presented in 6 months and everything you paid comes back, plus $1,000.
